Non sprecherò aggettivi negativi per chi, nel frattempo, ne ha abusato per definire merda questo grandissimo disco.
Me ne fotto altamente di chi, probabilmente, cercava nei solchi di questa registrazione la consacrazione dei GG e non l' ha letta.
Dico loro soltanto di scrollarsi di dosso una grossa coltre di spocchia e riascoltare questo vinile
"Older...Budweiser" un titolo che é un manifesto di manifesta buzzurraggine estrema. Non é maturità questa? No? E' forse coerenza? Sì!!
Tornano più sinceri che mai gli AC DC in anfetamina di Boston
Ed abusano di riverberi nella batteria

 Disco intenso, dannatamente tamarro e da sentire ad altissimo volume

BADTOWN BOYS - Borrowed time E.P. (San Fernando, 1990)

Sontuoso E.P. d' esordio su Dyonisus per i Badtown boys, band californiana attiva dalla seconda metà degli anni '80. Non so molto di più su questi ragazzi di quanto il link di rimando non dica. So solo che la title-track é uno dei pezzi più belli dell' HC punk californiano mai stato scritto. Sono iperbolico come sempre? Può darsi, ma ascoltatevi sto E.P. da paura e poi sappiatemi dire.

THE SORT OF QUARTET - Victim à la mode (Palm Desert, 1999)

Questo disco lo comprai in una notte alcolica ad El Paso (Torino Lingotto, Texas) sotto pressante consiglio ed entusiasta recensione volante quanto etilica di un tipo che era lì davanti a questa assortitissima distro. Prima che internet fosse un genere di prima necessità non conoscevo nulla di questa specie di quartetto , tranne questi pezzi strumentali pazzeschi di jazz funky punk rock psichedelico che uscivano dal vinile in questione. Dagli Hissanol ai Th' Inbred passando per i primi Victims family a cena dai Mr. Bungle. Hai detto niente
Ora scopro che prima di questa uscita per Crippled dick Hot Wax! il sort of quartet era nientepopò di meno che della scuderia SST per la quale aveva registrato 3 LP. Tutto torna. I suoni sono assolutamente in linea con le scelte dell' etichetta e, basta sentire "Wild about animals" che ho messo in anteprima per convenirne e per essere irrefrenabilmente colpiti dal desiderio di cliccare su "ECCOLO QUA" :D

ANDY KERR - Once bitten, twice removed THE TAPE! (Holland, 1998)

Quando recensii quest' opera (cva)  era esclusivamente un downloadable-record, non lo si trovava in nessun altro formato che non i maledetti MP3. Recentemente invece i ragazzi della Masturbation R'N'R hanno chiesto ed ottenuto il permesso di stampare questo capolavoro (perché di questo si parla) su delle deliziose audiocassette blu

 Potevo non accattarmela immediatamente?
Inoltre, all' interno ci sono i testi (spassosissimi) che erano introvabili sul web. Fino ad ora.
Nel file con i rip a 320 Kbps, infatti, trovate tutte le succulenti scansioni.

Queste splendide note ci raccontano la storia di OBTR ed un pò di Andy:

"Sometimes around the end of 1981 I found myself getting anxious, frustrated and tired of "band life". Nomeansno had been a remarkable experience for me on a creative and, more importantly, personal level for almost ten years of my life. But increasingly I found myself wanting a change. Or, perhaps, more to the point, to change. So I put in my papers, packed up my bags and crossed over the Big Pond and settled in Amsterdam.
Among the very first things I did in 1992 was purchase a little cassette 4.track recorder, an Alesis SR-16 drum machine and a Martin acoustic guitar. I really had little idea what i was doing and certainly there was no plan to record a collection of songs to be released as a record. If I had a plan it was to have no plan at all. And so, over the course of the next five years or so I ended up to writing a number of songs that eventually made it onto Once Bitten Twice Removed ot the two Hissanol.
Looking back at all my recorded output, I think that Once Bitten Twice Removed sticks out like a sore thumb, in a way. While I tried in some small way in my work in Nomeansno, Hissanol and my latest project with Wilf Plum, Two Pin Din to break with tradition, OBTR's songs are nothing if not traditional.
Long ago, before, as the Minutemen so eloquently put it, "punk rock changed our lives", I listened as a kid to pop music on the radio. Verse-chorus-verse stuff. Melody. Maybe it was a reaction to distance myself as far as a could from what I fad just done in the band, or it could have been an attempt to make more personal, storytelling music I was listening to at the begimmimg of the 90's: Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright III, The Vinaigrettes and Tom Holliston.
And you can be sure there's a lot of inspiration from realevents in my own life all over this record. Some I found very funny, others much less so.

At some point I toyed with the idea of putting some of what I'd written and recorded "out there" somehow. Keep in mind this was long before cheap recordarble cd's and digital download services. So I opted for the standard DIY option of the day and I released on cassette. I seem to recall selling a few locally, some more through the mail to intersted folksand I gave bunch to Scott to unload in and around Victoria. At a certain point I think it was posted on th (late, great) Friends of Incentive website. Later it was even avaible on the old mp3.com website where you could order an actually CD of it!. (...)

But the story's not over. If that wasn't enough this nice fellow Seb from no-guitar-hero-trio Kabu Ki Buddah wrote me, kindly offering to re-release OBTR yet again. This time on, YES IT'S TRUE, CASSETTE! The circle is round. (Roundish, anyway...)

And so there you have it. A bunch of songs that seemed to mysteriously appear at a period in my life when I had abruptly left everything I knew behind and I was trying to figoure out where I was. Spring cleaning in winter indeed"

Lo so... ce l' avete già praticamente tutti. Ma a quel 0,1% che ancora non lo ha vogliamo pensarci? Non siamo in democrazia da queste parti! Qua si pensa a tutti!
E poi ce ne avevo voglia. Avevo voglia di vederlo qua.
E poi è uno disco perfetto, senza una sbavatura.

PEDRO DE LA HOYA - El club de corazones solitarios del sargento pimienta (oneman​) ​band (Lyon, 2012)

L' amico Pedro, batterista dei lionesi Kabu Ki Buddah, si é lanciato in un audace y peligroso progetto che prende il suo nome. E ci mancherebbe altro, d' altronde, visto che suona e canta tutto lui.
Il disco, uscito per la neonata Rock & roll masturbation, é un condensato di tutto quello che Pedro può fare dal vivo: cantare delle scempiaggini in autentico spagnolo (imparato su audiocassetta), con il solo imperativo di suonare tutto contemporaneamente: batteria, trombone, chitarra, corde vocali e tutto ciò con dei guantoni da boxe se é possibile. Dolci richiami Coluchiani a parte, eccone il risultato su Vinil Brulé: Adreno-latin-agonistico-lisergia de puta madre!!

DAYGLO ABORTIONS - Out of the womb (Victoria, 1981)

Disco DEVASTANTE!!! Provare per credere!

"another stupendous lp here. this time from from the glorious canadians, the day-glo abortions. this is one frantic wee record here. mad buzzin chainsaw guitars, lots of 1-2 tempo drums and insane lyrics sung by a rasping voice. dont know what it is with the canadians, but their scene at this time was brilliant. maybe it was some kinda reaction towards their american cousins. they had to prove a point or something. who cares, cause it produced some tip-top and bristol fashion bands. the songs on this here platter to be enjoyed over and over to me are, 'suicide', 'used to be in love', 'i killed mommy' and 'germ attack'. 'i killed mommy' even has a wee misfits touch to it. who can complain about that? 'used to be in love' and 'suicide', wooooah, theyre fucking brilliant songs and really take this lp from being quite mediocre to being quite quite excellent... the backcover i have used here is from the rerelease. its the same as the original, just has 'unrest records' logo on it as the difference. ive searched on the net for weeks trying to find a pic of  the flip cover, alas this was the only one i could find. as im not a millionare, i dont own this record. shame. '' i used to be in love......but not any fucking more.'' outstanding..!!" (we cause havoc where ever we go)
